ILLMAS Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 TP left me a weird message today, "I am getting my tax return done right now, but I have a question"? WT_ 1 Quote
rfassett Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 On a better day, I would say have some fun with it. Today - I would say ignore it. 3 Quote

GeneInAlabama Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 TP may mean that he/she is getting the information "done" to send to you. 5 Quote
Medlin Software, Dennis Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 Don't read into it at all, ask them to elaborate. No reason to spend time trying to answer something when something was not asked... I get something similar many times a day in many forms. "I have a problem." "Can you help me?" "I am seeing an error message?" I stopped spending time trying to guess and now just answer with a standard pre built reply. The reply is fairly long, since it has to cover all sorts of unasked questions, but it is an accurate reply. Quote

You don't have to tell me that you have a question. I know that part. Let's advance the topic." 1 Quote
MsTabbyKats Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 I think you're all wrong. Taxpayer needs information from the prior year for this year's return. Quote
ILLMAS Posted March 7, 2016 Author Report Posted March 7, 2016 Let's change "done" to "prepared" Quote

Hahaha, yes, I see now that the world may never know, but I'm still going with "ask your $%^&*# question first thing, and let's skip the prelude". 1 Quote
ILLMAS Posted March 7, 2016 Author Report Posted March 7, 2016 Ex TP called me again, yes she did go somewhere else and I am actually happy. I am bored here at the office and if anyone wants to know why I am happy please PM me. 3 Quote

JohnH Posted March 9, 2016 Report Posted March 9, 2016 Tell them you answer one question for free , but there's s charge for every question answered after that. They will ask "How much is the charge?" You respond "The charge is $100 per answer. What's your next question?" 5 Quote
