Possi Posted January 28, 2016 Report Posted January 28, 2016 Can a ROTH contribution be re-characterized to a SIMPLE contribution? I read that the ROTH can be re-characterized to an "individual IRA" but does that include SIMPLE? https://www.irs.gov/Retirement-Plans/Retirement-Plans-FAQs-regarding-IRAs-Recharacterization-of-Roth-Rollovers-and-Conversions Thanks~ Quote
Possi Posted January 28, 2016 Author Report Posted January 28, 2016 It is a good question, but please don't research it. Someone was asking for a DIY'er who didn't know that a SIMPLE IRA was anything other than a traditional IRA. I just had my first DIY laugh of the season. Sorry... wish I could delete the original question. 1 Quote
