OldJack Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president and nine Supreme Court Justices - 545 human beings out of the 300 million - are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country. JohnH Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 Jack: Thanks for making my day. Any more depressing thoughts? Quote
jainen Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 >>more depressing thoughts<< Depressing? Personally, I was RELIEVED. All this time, I thought it was my fault. Quote
KEYWEST_RICKS Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 Sorry, but i follow the thought that the 300 million get the govt they deserve. Our elected officials realize that if you rob peter to pay paul....... you are sure to get pauls vote! just my two cents jeff Quote
JohnH Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 >>more depressing thoughts<< Depressing? Personally, I was RELIEVED. All this time, I thought it was my fault. What a coincidence. I was also thinking it was your fault. Quote
Cathy Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 What a coincidence. I was also thinking it was your fault. Guess great minds think alike, JohnH. I was also thinking it was jainen's fault! Quote
lbbwest Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 >>more depressing thoughts<< Depressing? Personally, I was RELIEVED. All this time, I thought it was my fault. It's about time you take some personal responsibility....oh that's right; you are in California, I understand it's against the State Constitution. Be very careful...they may be coming to get you. lbb Quote
BulldogTom Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 Not so fast llbwest. Jainen is in California, but located in Santa Cruz. They really aren't part of any state but their own. People from Santa Cruz laugh when Cal Berkley is described as liberal. Go Frikkin Banana Sluggs!!!!!!!!!! Tom Lodi, CA Quote
joanmcq Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 Its the fault of everyone that thinks 'oooh I get a rebate! where do I sign to get my free money?' and those that started that line of thinking in the first place. We have our own debt problems in CA, and the 'no new taxes' and 'no tax increases' thing is really starting to wear thin, especially when the VLF decrease that was supposed to increase again when times got bad and suddenly became a 'tax increase' that couldn't be increased is one of the causes of our debt problems.... And you're right, its probably jainen's fault. Quote

Sorry, joan, but I think we can probably rank you and jainen BOTH as being on the high on the "responsible" list. Anyone capable of writing the above surely must be a legislator! :o Quote
joanmcq Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 If I was a legislator, I'd get paid more, have better health insurance, and more vacation. If I was the god of California, you bet the budget would be balanced! Quote
jainen Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 >>it's probably jainen's fault<< Please go back to the original post. I am one of the 2,999,455 who are NOT responsible. And that makes sense because here in Santa Cruz, although we breathe guilty fear like an inhalant, we never actually take responsibility for ANYthing. Quote
