Janitor Bob Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 Is anybody else having this? For the past few days, I can no longer open the ATX program...I keep getting an error message about not connecting to the server. Quote
Jack from Ohio Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 Reboot. Then just keep clicking retry till it gets its brain straight. This is NOT a message about connection to the ATX server on the internet. It is an internal error for the program connecting to the server portion of the program. Quote
Abby Normal Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 If ATX Server will not start, delete this folder:C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\CCH_Small_Firm_ServicesI watch tech support do this once and saved it to a text file. 3 Quote
FDNY Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 This is what ATX support did for me using team viewer. Took about 2 minutes. 1 Quote
Abby Normal Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 If this folder is so unimportant that you can delete it and ATX will recreate it, why don't they just delete it every time the program closes and recreate it every time the program starts? 1 Quote
Janitor Bob Posted August 20, 2015 Author Report Posted August 20, 2015 I called Tech Support. They connected remotely to my PC and deleted some files and ran a repair utility...works fine now....They have no idea why this happens and could not guarantee it would not happen again. Fortunately, they seemed to know just how to fix it and I was repaired and off of the phone in under 20 minutes 2 Quote
