Elrod Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 A client I had for years just brought me a huge box of homemade peanut brittle. I mean huge.....must be at least seven pounds. It's delicious...they must use a lot of butter...It's Yummy! I finished their taxes back in February, they were really happy with results. Didn't expect such a pleasant turn of events today. Wish I could Skype ya all a piece or two. 8 Quote

schirallicpa Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 Tax clients are usually very unthoughtful of the work and expertise put into their return. we are generally overhead to the world. In 20 years, I have received 1 plate of brownies, 1 box of chocolates, and 1 Christmas flower. I haven't received anything this year. Quote
schirallicpa Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 well - my dog has received 3 dog bones this year. Quote
Elrod Posted April 3, 2015 Author Report Posted April 3, 2015 Sorry schirallicpa........If you were here I'd give ya some brittle....And for your Little Dog too... Quote
NECPA in NEBRASKA Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 I used to get a bunch of treats, but sadly most of those thoughtful clients have passed away. I now have many of their impatient children and even worse grandchildren. I am actually grateful not to get all of the cookies, since I lost quite a bit of weight two years ago and have managed to keep it off. I could not live without my treadmill right outside my office. If I had to go to the gym, I would have gained it all back. Quote
Gail in Virginia Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 But even though I don't want or need cookies, it is always nice to be appreciated and to know that SOME of our clients actually see us as people who are working as hard as we can for them! 5 Quote
joanmcq Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 The flowers I got don't have calories. Just smiles. But my lil girl kitty isn't doing too well. Just keeping her comfy and trying to keep her fluffy. 1 Quote

NECPA in NEBRASKA Posted April 5, 2015 Report Posted April 5, 2015 Joan, I'm thinking about you and your kitty. I hope that she recovers, if possible. Quote
