Jack from Ohio Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 I am missing something here.... The number of users with MAX has been 3 for at least 10 years. What is different now? You could always add additional single users and there was unlimited user pack available. I fail to see the difference? Quote
Margaret CPA in OH Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 I'm still looking for the new pricing. I logged into MYATX - nothing. I browsed everywhere I could think of - nothing. I didn't receive a renewal email either. I'm just trying to find this new pricing however it breaks down whether reconfigured user packs, pricing for enhanced depreciation or not, whatever has changed. Quote
Jack from Ohio Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 I am beginning to smell a late April Fools joke from the OP.... Quote

When I go to atxinc.com, there is a left to right series of moving windows, click on the one that says "Lock in My Deal". Then you will be prompted to log in, which will take you to your renewal info. Mine was ATX Max $ 1329 plus $ 69 processing for a total of $ 1,398 There is another window that will give you the package details. Edited April 3, 2015 by cbslee Quote
kcjenkins Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 Strange, when I login it does not take me to renewal info? Quote
Lee B Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 Strange, when I login it does not take me to renewal info? I have done it twice , once this morning and once this afternoon. Did you see the button that says, "Lock in my Deal". That is what you click on before you log in. Quote
jklcpa Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 The main page has a picture with arrows left and right in the picture (< >) to scroll to the different offers. If you click on "lock in your deal" it then takes you to the log in page. Quote

jklcpa Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 I get that now too. It was working when Lee first posted about it and when I made the picture. Quote
Tax Prep by Deb Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 You don't get the offer by going directly to MyAtx. You have to go to atxinc.com then the offer shows. Quote

jklcpa Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 Mine is working again too. Must have been a brief downtime to make a fix. Quote
kcjenkins Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 Yes, I figured that out, and I saw "Lock in your deal", clicked on it, then it asked me to log in. I did, but then it just took me to the standard page you get when you log in, no renewal option. Oh well, was not going to do it now, just wanted to see it. Quote

Margaret CPA in OH Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Hah! Got it this time. No early renewal, though. And I didn't see ppr. I may be going to that next but it might add up to even more to add in the local returns and all the trust returns and 1065's, etc. Ah, it's only money... Quote

I have sensed this business motive for the past 4 years. Those users with 500 or less compose 80% of their customer base. The other 20% consume 80% of their tech support time. Again, CCH does NOT understand how to keep a customer base happy. They DO NOT understand customer service. Quote
Philip1117 Posted April 4, 2015 Author Report Posted April 4, 2015 I was surprised no one has communicated the pricing chage before you try to renew. They added in the fixed asset upgrade and some kind of practice management software that would have cost 2500 next year on top of the tax program. Don't need software to track my work flow. I can just look in one of the 8 boxes we set up every year. I removed all addons to the tax program and the price for two offices and 8 users at each office was about 3100. I would have purhcased the paperless plus but it doesn't work with scansnap scanners. Quote
Randall Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 I don't know why those with high volume would want to use ATX. I'm a one person office so it fits my needs very well. Quote
jklcpa Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Too bad. This was one of my suggestions. I think it's wrong to have a 1-3 pack and a 4 to infinity pack. I wanted them to add a 4-7 pack, an 8-10 pack, etc. I feel like I'm really overpaying for the extra 2 users I need. Oh well. JM, are you using ATX MAX? How much do they charge for the extra user? Maybe you should consider purchasing the Total Tax office package that includes up to 5 users and would give you the research package too. I used MAX for years and then found that purchasing TTO actually saved me some money because I was able to eliminate other research products I was purchasing separately. 2 Quote
