Philip1117 Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 I was told no more unlimited pricing. You have to buy user packs. Where is my discount for early renewal? Phil Quote
jasdlm Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 Do you mean no more unlimited efiling? I don't like the sounds of this. Same question as Margaret. What are user packs? Quote
Lynn EA USTCP in Louisiana Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 (edited) That's one reason I left Petz (Crosslink) - their user pack costs were getting way too expensive. Damn CCHSFS services for changing their pricing model. Where did you hear about this change ??? Edited April 2, 2015 by lynn EA in Louisiana Quote
Philip1117 Posted April 2, 2015 Author Report Posted April 2, 2015 Efiling is unlimited. You get three users for free but you pay for each user above three. You have a per office fee and your user packs are not transferable. Quote

If they price additional users at anything less than 300/ea, I will save. Quote
Jack from Ohio Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 Where is all this information coming from? Please post the CCH source or stop spreading unfounded rumors. Quote
joanmcq Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 Max has had 3 users since 2012 at least. Do you have to buy all the modules separate? Where did you see the 2015 pricing? 2 Quote

mcb39 Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 We have been able to install ATX on three machines for some time now with no extra cost. I have no issues with that. We don't need to be scared out of our wits at this point in the tax season. 1 Quote
jasdlm Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 Thank goodness. I use on 3 machines, also. I was having a minor meltdown, but I'll go back to returns now. 1 Quote
Randall Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 (edited) xxxxx comment hidden xxxxx I don't get this comment. I've been a long time user of ATX. It's slow but I think that's the type of programming it uses. I haven't had the problems others have had, returns not opening or whatever. Something must be going on unique with them. JohnH Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 There are other vendors... Great advice. And there is at least one superior alternative in the same price range. 2 Quote
Lee B Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 FALSE ALARM ! I just took a quick look at my renewal info this morning and I don't really see any significant changes. Quote
Margaret CPA in OH Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 Renewal already? I didn't get mine yet. Where is this pricing detail, anyway? Why am I so out of the loop (sniff, sniff)? 2 Quote

Abby Normal Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 Too bad. This was one of my suggestions. I think it's wrong to have a 1-3 pack and a 4 to infinity pack. I wanted them to add a 4-7 pack, an 8-10 pack, etc. I feel like I'm really overpaying for the extra 2 users I need. Oh well. 1 Quote
kcjenkins Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 I agree, JM, it would make good marketing sense to sell at least one more intermediate size, say 4-9, for a price between the two current options. In the 'old days', ATX would have listened to a good presentation, but sadly, CCH just does not seem to listen to much of anything. Quote

And we all know companies analyze their customer bases to maximize its profits based on criteria such as this, and that is probably why they have 3 users built in to the base price, knowing that there are those with 4 preparers so that they can tack on that extra charge for. 1 Quote
BulldogTom Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 (edited) When I first read this, I thought the OP was about individual returns no longer being unlimited, that it was going to something like a PPR program. This is a misleading post and I think it should be retitled by the moderators. It should be more reflective of what they may be doing, which is possibly adding more steps in the number of users to the pricing. Tom Newark, CA Edited April 3, 2015 by BulldogTom Quote
