ZoomnFinancial Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 Short story since I am giving up for the night... Got the dreaded Can't connect to server and tried the uninstall / re-install. Now I get the below error. This time I did uninstall the ATX2014 & ATX 2014 server so maybe that is the issue but uninstalling just the ATX 2014 didn't work. PLEASE HELP. Package ATX 2014 Server Error: Error 1920. Service ATX 2014 Service (sfs.Server.2014) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services. Quote
ZoomnFinancial Posted March 22, 2015 Author Report Posted March 22, 2015 HOLD YOUR HORSES... Installed from the disk (was from website previous) and now it works or at least opens. Of course have to go through the updated but it opens... Quote
ZoomnFinancial Posted March 22, 2015 Author Report Posted March 22, 2015 NEVERMIND>>> Went to install the 14.5 update and I get the same error. Quote
ZoomnFinancial Posted March 22, 2015 Author Report Posted March 22, 2015 I don't see the ATX 2014 Server in the administrative tools even after I got the 2014 re-install to complete. Quote
rfassett Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 Did you go the ATX knowledge library. There is an article detailing how to restart the ATX 2014 service on your server. It's very simple and straight forward. I have had to do that a couple times this year. A conflict somewhere is causing an issue, but not enough to worry me now that I know how to restart the service. Takes less than two minutes and that includes the long walk from my office to where the server resides. You should not need to install or uninstall anything, 1 Quote
ZoomnFinancial Posted March 22, 2015 Author Report Posted March 22, 2015 Yes I have that printed out and have used it. It is not allowing me to restart the server. I get a timed out error that I have never received in the past. Quote
ZoomnFinancial Posted March 22, 2015 Author Report Posted March 22, 2015 Not open sudays or else I would. Quote
Jack from Ohio Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 The next time you see the server connection issue, do not PANIC and start deleting and reinstalling the programs. This is part of the issue you are having. You will need to wait on tech support to correct your issue. An error message does not mean to scrap everything and start over. 2012 is history. Quote
Randall Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 I agree with Jack. The last thing I want to do with any app is uninstall and reinstall. Quote
Pacun Posted March 23, 2015 Report Posted March 23, 2015 Go to control panel, administrative tools, services and make sure all atx services are started and automatic. You will need admin rights to do that. Quote
