It did that in 2013.

Perhaps it did but you couldn't tell because of the wacky way the backups were named & stored.

 

Edit: I just tried it in 2013 and did not see any new files in the backup folder. It's soooooooooo much nicer this year! And reassuring!

Messing with backup files is risky.  Not recommended.

 

I totally use export and can find all of my files on the jump drive as well as the total system backup.  I don't have time to mess with anything else.  You know that, Jack! :(

I use the import/export too. But the Backup files is in Program Data/CCH Small Firm Services/ATX 2014 Server/ATX 2014 Backup.

Listen to Jack, don't mess with it. But I do copy it to external backup HD.

I peruse my backup report, just to make sure I have all the important stuff checked off for my automatic backup.  Just saw all the lovely named files ^_^

 

Ah, yes!  Now I am satisfied and will not go there again.
