michaelmars Posted October 14, 2014 Report Posted October 14, 2014 I would never renew until I see the feedback from those that start returns on 1/1. I never do a return till the end of January anyway. Quote
Lee B Posted October 14, 2014 Author Report Posted October 14, 2014 Michael, I agree with you. The last several years I have waited until January to renew. Quote
TAXMAN Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 Any body seen or heard what the renewal prices will be? If you take this discount can you wait till Feb to actually pay? 1 Quote
Lloyd Hudson Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 If you take this discount you pay in December. If you defer till February you lose discount. According to Sales yesterday AM. 1 Quote

mcb39 Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 IMO If you want any particular program; negotiate the best deal you can; order it, pay for it and put it behind you. 1 Quote
JohnH Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 Heard it before and before and before.... No consistency among sales people and discounts. Jack's exactly right. If they gave consistent discounts, they would't be discounts. They would jjust be adjustments on the standard price list. Quote
jklcpa Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 IMO If you want any particular program; negotiate the best deal you can; order it, pay for it and put it behind you. I agree with this. If a user is absolutely sure that they are sticking with a particular program, then go ahead and take advantage of the discount. On the other hand, if a user wants to see if major problems of the prior year have been resolved to their satisfaction, that promises made by the vendor have been kept, AND that user doesn't need the program before February, the discount may not be worth the hassle of renewing early only to find out that the program is no longer suited to their particular practice. In that case, it may be better to wait and let others test out the early releases and fixes. That small a discount only represents one or two returns for many or most of us. 3 Quote
kcjenkins Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 I agree with Judy, it's not big enough to make it your 'deciding' factor. Quote
JohnH Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 This conversation makes me think of the old quote by (George Burns/Claude Pepper/Erma Bombeck - pick your celebrity): "At my age, I don't even buy green bananas." 2 Quote
BulldogTom Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 I think it might be for me. I could use the extra $200. I am going to buy it anyways. Tom Hollister, CA 2 Quote
RitaB Posted October 17, 2014 Report Posted October 17, 2014 I renewed today because of the discount. Was happy, happy, happy. Then, my neighbor called, and said my cows were in his yard. Well, your horse is in my field, so there. You know, things can dampen the moo-d. 8 Quote
