Christian Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 Despite my best efforts I was unable to get the Simplified Home Office figures to transfer to the applicable Schedule C's from the worksheets. Did anyone else have this problem ? Nor was I able to place the info on line 30 of the Schedule C by override. Quote
jklcpa Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 Does the Sch C have a profit to allow the home office deduction? Quote
Margaret CPA in OH Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 On the Expense Allocation Input sheet, did you select the correct home office from the 'list' at the top in the blue area? When you go to Schedule C, have you clicked on Line 30 and followed the paths to the entry screens to be sure of the source data? Quote
Christian Posted October 9, 2014 Author Report Posted October 9, 2014 As a childhood friend of mine said at his piano recital as he set motionless at the piano "It would appear I have forgotten". I had overlooked a critical piece of info . Well at least nowadays I can give age as the reason . 2 Quote
Margaret CPA in OH Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 Christian, don't be hard on yourself. Ask me how I thought that just might be the problem... Sometimes there are just too many things to check but that is also a reason why I still like this program. It does a lot of things automatically but you still have to think on occasion. 3 Quote
BulldogTom Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 Do not feel bad. I struggled with that form last year for quite a while. When you get it, it works pretty slick, but it is not very intuitive. Maybe we have someone on the board willing to ask the powers that be at ATX to make it a little easier to use.
