I have noticed that entering the forum I am already signed in. I always sign out on leaving. Is this a new feature ?

Isn't that a by-product of your browser recognizing you and automatically signing you in?

Yeah, I'm going to have to go with clearing cookies. I'm kind of at a loss. If you hit that Sign Out link at the top right, you really shouldn't be logged in when you come back.

If you have two computers, and both of them have cookies for this site, if you log off on one, then you log on on the other one, you will be logged on automatically, too. So if you have two computers, pay attention to that.

Well that makes sense. I use several different devices and had wondered why I see this inconsistent behavior among them. Now I know.

or the corollary...don't sign/log out and you aren't signed/logged out.

it's what I do...I am never logged out.

I never log out either; but if I go to a different computer, I am required to log in.
