UNCREATE AN EXTENSION?

so we are starting to create extensions and as I go thru the list - some of these I am just getting done... but how do I get them uncreated? They have not been e-filed and I have deleted the 4868 but they are still there in the e-file mgr???

Check the box to mark and then file/delete efile

interesting...since it was created but not transmitted, I believe there is currently no problem for you.

or? bring the 4868 back into the tax return and change/adjust it. I think? that will uncreate the efile in return manager.

I think that'll just make it be rejected. I do what Joan said, just be sure and read that you are deleting an efile before you commit.

my understanding...the extension efile was created but never transmitted (to be rejected)...so, no harm, no foul.

Joan has the correct procedure. Nothing difficult. Just delete the unwanted e-file from the e-file manager.
