jasdlm Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 I would just like to say that I have had very good luck with them today. I have called 3 times, all over efiling issues, and they have been responsive, competent and relatively quick. I appreciated the help I got today. The representative did inform me, apologetically, that one problem I was having was a 'program error' and the programmers knew about it, but it was unlikely to get corrected this season. At least she was honest. It is not something that stops me from efiling; just adds an extra step to the process. I decided I should post recognizing the good experience I had today. Quote
Abby Normal Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 Would you mind sharing the problem? It might save the rest of us some grief. Quote

I am glad to hear that. As you know the best tech support is the one you don't use. So my tech support has been better. I haven't used them for two years in a row. I hope it will continue for the rest of tax season. 2 Quote
mcb39 Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 I haven't used them since the days of William Tasker; and then, only once. Quote
jasdlm Posted March 13, 2014 Author Report Posted March 13, 2014 jmdavis - When a file is efiled and even if it is accepted, it stays 'checked' in the efile manager, so if you don't go in and manually 'uncheck' all efiles that have already been sent, it will transmit the file again when you send your next batch. You will then get a reject from EFC (because you have already sent the file), but temporarily, the 'accepted' file can't be seen in the list. I panicked because I thought maybe I had imagined seeing the acceptance. Once I 'received acknowledgements' again, the accepted return reappeared and the 'rejected' disappeared. One has to remember to 'uncheck' all previously sent returns before transmitting. This has never been the case in previous years. Quote
grandmabee Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 I don't do that and I have never got one rejected for all ready being sent. I never un check the box. Quote
Tax Prep by Deb Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 Same here. Ever so often I will go and uncheck everything, but day to day no, and I have not had a single reject due to this error. Quote
jasdlm Posted March 13, 2014 Author Report Posted March 13, 2014 . It just doesn't like me, I guess. It must happen to others, though, because she indicated that the programmers were aware of the error, but it was likely to be fixed this year. I guess I just have the right touch! Quote
Pacun Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 If I send 5 efile and I forgot to send 1, I immediately go to select that one for transmittion and I don't uncheck the other ones, I get only 1 to be transmitted and the others are grayed out. This issues sounds like you are going "back" a page as you do with IE. Could that be possible in ATX? Quote
