ljwalters Posted March 2, 2014 Report Posted March 2, 2014 Client changed her mind and decided to put money into her IRA. If she puts it into a Roth is there a single page we could send or do I have to do an amendment? Quote

Pacun Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 Client changed her mind and decided to put money into her IRA. If she puts it into a Roth is there a single page we could send or do I have to do an amendment? What does "decided" mean? Does it mean she did put money on the IRA or does it mean she is considering it? If she did it, and now you want to move it a Roth IRA, you will have to file a corrected 1040 or amend. If she has not put any money yet and she puts it on a Roth IRA, there is nothing needed to be done on the return. Quote
