Marie Posted February 28, 2014 Report Posted February 28, 2014 sometimes I just want to put interest received by taxpayer, but don't have the ss# and address. this happens mostly when an the taxpayer has made a personal loan to an individual. atx won't let me efile without all that info. I thought we used to be able to do that. is it necessary to have all the info (especially if under $1500) and is there a way to put it in without? Quote
Abby Normal Posted February 28, 2014 Report Posted February 28, 2014 I'm not having that problem. Try using the Detail tab instead of the input tab, though I don't know why that would matter. Quote
Marie Posted February 28, 2014 Author Report Posted February 28, 2014 when the info wasn't in the detail, or input tab, I get the same message. can I override on the front page? Quote
Lee B Posted February 28, 2014 Report Posted February 28, 2014 In this situation, I just ask the client to obtain the necessary information. Never had a problem. Quote
jshtax Posted February 28, 2014 Report Posted February 28, 2014 Just stick it on the 1099 interest tab and move on. I have never in my life seen so many people get caught up in little details. As long as its on the return as income who cares. Quote
Abby Normal Posted February 28, 2014 Report Posted February 28, 2014 when the info wasn't in the detail, or input tab, I get the same message. can I override on the front page? Is the message red? I just tested it and I did not get an error at all. What error are you getting? Quote
joanmcq Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 Make sure you uncheck 'add to payor manager' and there's no issues. Quote
