grandmabee Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 anyone use the 8829 for daycare yet this year. I have been working on it(or trying to figure out how to add expenses to the 8829.) My % is coming out 100% which is wrong. Area is 100% but once you use time % should be about 30. I can't find the expense worksheet that someone was talking about but they were using 2106 not C any help would be appreciated. Quote
grandmabee Posted February 23, 2014 Author Report Posted February 23, 2014 finally figured it out. this year it seems to be a lot of work for the 8829. so much simpler last year. 1 Quote
NECPA in NEBRASKA Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 How did you fix it? I can't get it to not be 100%. Quote
grandmabee Posted March 8, 2014 Author Report Posted March 8, 2014 that is what I was having a problem with too. On the OIH worksheet (new this year) line 1a have to be zero for it to work. Line two is normal and 1b is same as line 2 then it will give you the correct %. line 4 and 5 are the hours for daycare. Quote
NECPA in NEBRASKA Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 Thank you. It's not very user friendly. Quote
grandmabee Posted March 9, 2014 Author Report Posted March 9, 2014 No its not. was way better last year but I guess they made the change so you could use the safe harbor rule. Quote
joanmcq Posted March 9, 2014 Report Posted March 9, 2014 There's a checkbox for daycare when you first roll the home office in the new home office worksheet. Not sure if it's still there once it's rolled. Quote
