grandmabee Posted February 8, 2014 Report Posted February 8, 2014 Why is every return I roll over have the same SID number even before I create e-file. I have deleted the 8879, 1040 ef info page. Nothing works except if I transmit it and get it rejected by EFC. then it will give me a new different SID number. I have not changed any master forms. Anyone else having this problem? Quote
Lynn EA USTCP in Louisiana Posted February 8, 2014 Report Posted February 8, 2014 Did you customize your master 1040EF form? That might be the culprit. Quote
grandmabee Posted February 8, 2014 Author Report Posted February 8, 2014 got thru to support and yes my master 1040EF form was customized. Which I did not do. So I don't know how that happened. Now I will go thru all returns rolled over and discard and add. What a waste of time. Quote
Jack from Ohio Posted February 9, 2014 Report Posted February 9, 2014 My 1040EF is customized and I am not having this issue. E-filed 125 at the firm so far. 90 had state returns. What did I do differently to not have this issue? Quote
grmy2h Posted February 9, 2014 Report Posted February 9, 2014 "If you've customized the 1040 (or 1040A or 1040EZ) AND the 1040 EF Info within the same Customize Master session, and at the same time had the "Enter this ERO's information on all new returns:" preference enabled, you will end up with duplicated SubmissionID's."
