ILLMAS Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 What program do you use to connect remotely to your client computer? I've been using Logmein (free) for a while, but it's no longer going to free, so I wanted to see what else is out there. Thanks MAS Quote
Nellie Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 I have used GoToMyPC for several years and have not had any problems. Quote
Yardley CPA Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 I may be showing my ignorance here, but what do you mean by connecting remotely to your "client computer?" Your own computer when you are away from home or literally to one of your clients computers? Quote
ILLMAS Posted January 24, 2014 Author Report Posted January 24, 2014 In my case, I provide hands on support to a few of my clients that do their own books on Quickbooks, for example if they get stuck reconciling an account, they call me and I log into their computer or if I am out the office need to check a file on my computer. Yardley CPA Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Got it. Thanks for clarifying. Quote

Yardley CPA Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 I am familiar with connecting remotely, I just never had the need to connect to one of my clients computers. Obviously, its a useful feature and definitely something that can be helpful should circumstances require it. Quote
ILLMAS Posted January 24, 2014 Author Report Posted January 24, 2014 I use Citrix's Go To Assist What is your monthly plan and how many computers can you add? Quote
Bart Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 What is your monthly plan and how many computers can you add? I pay $69 per month. I can only access other computers on one computer at a time but I can do it on any computer anywhere. I can log on to as many computers as i want at the same time if there is someone at the other end to establish the connection. I can have a list of 100 computers I can log on to unattended with no one at the other end. Quote
ILLMAS Posted January 24, 2014 Author Report Posted January 24, 2014 Thanks, it's a little to pricey for me, for the 4-5 client computers I work with. Quote
