Pacun Posted January 20, 2014 Report Posted January 20, 2014 I have not install ATX 2013 yet. Any issues that can be avoided (such as "don't leave the CD in the computer"). Thanks in advance. Quote
Tax Prep by Deb Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 Just be sure to read and follow the installation instructions for your setup carefully. Do not try to change the installation path, and do not after it is installed try to move any of the installation folders. I have had zero problems thus far, using a stand alone setup. Quote
Pacun Posted January 21, 2014 Author Report Posted January 21, 2014 Thank you. Last year I didn't have any issues and I expect this year to have even less (is that possible?) Quote
ILLMAS Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 The only problem I am seeing everyday, is if you double click the icon too fast then you get an error. Quote
ADGFINANCIAL Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 Mine does that too. I've been right clicking and picking open to avoid that nuisance. Quote
Pacun Posted January 24, 2014 Author Report Posted January 24, 2014 Am I the only one who is delaying installation? Quote
Jack from Ohio Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Am I the only one who is delaying installation? Seems so. I would give you this advice now. Things have progressed and changed. Go to the MYATX site and download the software install file. Install on all your machines using it. Hang the install CD on the wall for a decoration. Quote

CDs are made in November or before. I will install tomorrow and start testing on Saturday with a new client to whom I will not give any print out until the following Saturday. 1 Quote

Are you standalone, or do you have more than one computer you will be using the ATX program on? Quote
Pacun Posted January 24, 2014 Author Report Posted January 24, 2014 Are you standalone, or do you have more than one computer you will be using the ATX program on? Standalone. We used to have two installations: Standalone and workstation. The standalone was a server per se. I guess now we have all 3 installation modes. Quote

Pacun Posted January 24, 2014 Author Report Posted January 24, 2014 You either have a standalone, or a network. How many computers will you be using ATX2013 on. Only one. Why do you think I didn't have any issues last year? Most networks had issues. Quote
Jack from Ohio Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Only one. Why do you think I didn't have any issues last year? Most networks had issues. This post confused me.... Standalone. We used to have two installations: Standalone and workstation. The standalone was a server per se. I guess now we have all 3 installation modes. This year and last year have NOTHING in common as far as installation and how the program runs. FORGET ALL YOU KNEW from all prior years. The installation process is entirely different. Quote
