jshtax Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 I know that there hasn't been a fix to 2012 for a long time and there wont be one. I am not asking for a work around just asking if others have this problem or if it specific to me. At times I can copy and paste with no problem but other times as soon as I hit Ctrl+C the software locks up and requires a 3 finger salute. Not really a big problem unless I hadn't saved recently. Now for 2013 I am not even sure ATX knows this is a problem in 2012 to correct. If someone(Jack) wants to pass it on that would be great. They are no longer talking to me after I told them their terms of service sucks since they wouldn't help a customer 3 days after their license expired and they were on the fence about renewing. Quote
ILLMAS Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Just wondering if ATX software is design to take those commands, maybe in the past they have work but ATX 2012 is a different beast. Today I can say there is no software I use today that uses the function keys, in the 90's it was a different story. And why do you use cut and paste in the first place? Quote

An example is someone has multiple rental properties in same city I will copy and paste city just to speed up a few seconds. I had forgotten about this being an issue until yesterday when I tried to copy a tax ID number, address, etc... from ATX to the payroll Quote
joanmcq Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 I use copy & paste, including control + c & control + v. No issues with locking up. Quote
jshtax Posted January 10, 2014 Author Report Posted January 10, 2014 I use copy & paste, including control + c & control + v. No issues with locking up. Very interesting. I always cringe before doing it because I never know what the result will be. At least I have learned to save before doing so. Pasting is never an issue just copying. Quote
joanmcq Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Using the drop down box or right click works too Quote
Jack from Ohio Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Use right click. Then choose copy. Quote
jshtax Posted January 10, 2014 Author Report Posted January 10, 2014 I will try those today thank you very much for your input Quote
ILLMAS Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Just remember ATX payroll 2012 is not the same as ATX 2012, copy and paste might not work from one program to the other. Quote
