Tax Prep by Deb Posted December 29, 2013 Report Posted December 29, 2013 I renewed my PTIN the first part of November. I received via e-mail and to my in-box at IRS my welcome letter, stating that my application had been accepted. When I check on my status it shows I'm good thru 2014. Problem is my credit card has not yet been charged for this transaction. I didn't have any problems processing anything, but I have checked every card I use and I can not find this transaction. Should I be concerned? Deb! Quote
Tax Prep by Deb Posted December 30, 2013 Author Report Posted December 30, 2013 Forget it! Turns out that instead of putting it on my credit card (which I always do), this year I paid for it thru my checking account. (Now I feel real stupid!) 2 Quote
Kea Posted December 30, 2013 Report Posted December 30, 2013 I prefer to pay by credit card, too. I renewed my PTIN last night and could not use a credit card. I clicked the radio button for credit card, but the inputs below that did not change from the bank account input form. So, I put the radio button back and used my checking account. Since I procrastinated until the last minute, I didn't fight it. Quote

(Now I feel real stupid!) You are such an honest person. Why didn't you just delete your original post and state something like "did you see the fire ball that was seen on several states?" 4 Quote

jklcpa Posted December 30, 2013 Report Posted December 30, 2013 Truth is, I didn't see the delete button until just now. I was having a senior moment! I don't think the first post that creates the topic can be deleted by other than Eric or a moderator, subsequent posts can be though. Quote
Gail in Virginia Posted December 30, 2013 Report Posted December 30, 2013 But that first post could be edited to be something totally innocuous. I have to admit though, that did not even occur to me until I read Pacun's post. 1 Quote
SFA Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 Several weeks ago, I saved and posted a new topic twice. Ended up with two identical new topics. Didn't realize what I had done until it was too late. Needed help at the Admin level to straighten that one out. Quote

Karen Lee Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 My doctor suggested I read a book about "Preventing Alzheimers". I just laughed at him and said I was beyond the prevention stage and needed a book on "Managing Alzheimers". 2 Quote
