jshtax Posted December 14, 2013 Report Posted December 14, 2013 How is everyone doing so far with 2013? Feel free to share experiences. 1. From time I double click 2013 until I am able to enter my user name is 10 seconds.(30 seconds for 2012) 3(9 in 2012) seconds more until program is open after entering username 2. Once software is open on the return manager tab and I click on the rollerover tab it takes 22 (6 seconds last year) seconds for the 2012 returns to populate 3. 90(20 for 2012) seconds for a return to rollover to the return manager to be able to open. 4. 60 (120 for 2012)seconds to open a return that is on smaller size but has handful of unavailable forms Anyone else time their speeds this year? Appears to be faster than last year but still painfully slow as you are looking at 3 minutes from time you click on icon until you can be working on a return. Unable to compare data entry as not enough forms are available. Hoping speeds increase as more software is updated and forms become available. Quote
jshtax Posted December 14, 2013 Author Report Posted December 14, 2013 If my times are much slower than what you are seeing feel free to chime in with how you are setup. Quote
jshtax Posted December 14, 2013 Author Report Posted December 14, 2013 Anyone tried to see the speeds they are getting with 13? Quote
jshtax Posted December 15, 2013 Author Report Posted December 15, 2013 So no one has compared the speed of 13 to 12? Quote
Guest Taxed Posted December 15, 2013 Report Posted December 15, 2013 Do you have a backup tax software in mind, in case ATX fails to live up to your expectations? Quote
jshtax Posted December 15, 2013 Author Report Posted December 15, 2013 Do you have a backup tax software in mind, in case ATX fails to live up to your expectations? We have Drake up and running as well. Until a majority of the forms are available it will be difficult to truly determine if ATX has changed. As I have stated before I could care less about printing and editing client letters. Those are amateur issues compared to functionality. 1 Quote
