Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!! Eli Eli, when I e-filed my personal return, I obviously left the paid preparer info blank on the 1040. By doing this, I only showed up as the ERO. Booger Quote

Karen Lee Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 Eli... I don't ever E-file a return without being the preparer. My experience is that I have always found a mistake in the return. Have to essentially prepare the return to set up for E-File so what's the sense. When I prepare my own I don't bother removing myself as preparer and have never had a problem over the years. It might be more correct to say "have never had a problem YET" Karen Quote
joanmcq Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 I don't remove myself for my own return. And then I give myself a nice dinner for payment! Quote
Elrod Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 Just delete that information from the return itself. Quote
Janitor Bob Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 I don't remove myself for my own return. And then I give myself a nice dinner for payment! I also just leave myself on as both Paid Preparer and ERO....Then I pay myself with a frikkin banana split Quote
BulldogTom Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 << frikkin banana split>> There are those special "Frikkin Bananas" again. Didn't someone say they came from a special part of Europe? Tom Lodi, CA Quote
