lsowers Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 I cannot find this answer in KB or help, so maybe someone here knows. I automatically have my paid preparer info come into returns. Now I am doing a family member (freebie), how can I get it to get rid of the paid preparer or put in non-paid preparer? Thanks for your help Quote
JohnH Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 I'm not at my ATX computer right now, but I think you can set up another preparer with a period or a space in all the info fields. Then just select that preparer when you don't want your info to appear. For what it's worth, I list myself as paid preparer for family & freind's returns as well, just to keep things simple. Quote
taxtrio Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 I also leave my information as preparer on all returns, even family no charge returns. I efile all returns and I think it needs to be there for that. But if I wanted to, I'm sure I could just "override" those blocks where my information appears and leave them blank on that particular return. But I think they would have to mail it in. (if you do this, make sure you get it ALL deleted, everywhere!) Quote
