windmill Posted October 25, 2013 Report Posted October 25, 2013 Last week I was called by a Intuit rep asking "what would it take to switch from ATX to ProSeries software for the next Tax Season.I asked how did you know that I used ATX last season. Oh, I got it from the IRS. It is public record. Then I asked "Did you pay for that information" Yes, but it wasn't much.Anybody else getting these calls? Is it public record? Quote
Guest Taxed Posted October 25, 2013 Report Posted October 25, 2013 The fact that you e-file is public record and IRS does sell your e-file provider details to vendors. But I was not aware that which particular software you use is public record. May be they can extrapolate that from the e-file transmitter code. Quote
