ILLMAS Posted September 30, 2013 Report Posted September 30, 2013 I called the IRS to request a transcript on behalf of myclient, the gentlemen placed me on hold, but I guess he forgot to press the hold button, I could hear people taking about furlough days and what not, it sound like a party. So I asked him when he returned to the phone if they were celebrating someone birthday because I could hear people talking and laughing and he said no, we are worried because we don't know if we are coming in tomorrow I actually felt bad for him. kcjenkins Posted September 30, 2013 Report Posted September 30, 2013 Not surprised, since those gov employees, once the furlong is ended, almost always get the 'missed' pay anyway. Amounts then to a paid vacation. 1 Quote
Guest Taxed Posted October 1, 2013 Report Posted October 1, 2013 I am filing a return tomorrow that was on extension and I already warned the taxpayer that their refund of $560 may be delayed so don't spend it before you see the direct deposit. This client delayed their filing thinking they will owe money because they refinanced last year and their mortgage interest deduction was almost 60% less, and then the wife lost her job. Quote
