MsTabbyKats Posted September 14, 2013 Report Posted September 14, 2013 Good........I can't imagine any "returning customers", especially the ones who actually used the product. Quote
Don in Upstate NY Posted September 14, 2013 Report Posted September 14, 2013 TRX Software Development, Inc. may have filed for Chapter 11, but TaxExact.com is still alive and offering the product for sale. Quote
Crank Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 I never received this email and have dealth with Mr. Sneed at the TN BBB Quote
Roberts Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 On July 29, 2013, the company filed for reorganization under Chapter 11 of the federal Bankruptcy Act, case number 3:13-bk-06558 . This permits the company to continue to operate with court supervision while developing a plan of reorganization. Those with monetary claims against the company are advised to obtain a Proof of Claim form by writing to Tennessee Middle Bankruptcy Court CM/ECF, 701 Broadway Room 170, Nashville, TN, 37203 for resubmission to that court. The case number should be entered on the form. Claims must be submitted by 2013-09-29. edit: during the process of this all unfolding last January it became evident that TRX was actually just 1 company within 6+ that Doug was involved with. They have TRX Alliance, Adroit, Refund Express, 1040Works, TaxExact and Yonderworks. Quote
Guest Taxed Posted September 20, 2013 Report Posted September 20, 2013 The TaxExact software is a virtually identical to the TRX software. By filing bankruptcy they can get rid of their creditors and the lawsuits that were filed. They will sell TaxExact to the unsuspecting taxpreparers, who will not know the history of this company, unless they do a good search on the internet. Quote
Roberts Posted September 20, 2013 Report Posted September 20, 2013 Virtually identical? TRX software IS Taxexact software. Way to keep up. Quote

Yes...but they will be starting from scratch...with 0 return customers. And, unless they produce a workable and decent product, those new clients will take advantage of "the money back guarantee". Guest Taxed Posted September 21, 2013 Report Posted September 21, 2013 I would hate to see a new tax preparer get stuck with TaxExact and find out the history of this company after they already paid for it. The guarantee has so much fine print it is not worth it. Quote
