Guest Taxed Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 M&E padding happens at all levels. One of my managers at a company I used to work told me to ask the waitress to give me a stub from the check for my meal. So I did. This guy put the entire check for the table, himself, another employee and me on his company issued credit card. Then he tells us to fill our cost of the meals on the blank stubs and give it to the office manager and get cash.We should then hand that over to him because he paid for our food. I bet he got reimbursed the entire amount on his card and then pocketed our money. Quote
kcjenkins Posted August 28, 2013 Author Report Posted August 28, 2013 and then pocketed our money. So you went along with the scam? And how did that make it 'your' money? ' Quote
jklcpa Posted August 28, 2013 Report Posted August 28, 2013 As I was reading that article and got to the part about the CEO being tight with the dishonest executive and then that the CEO didn't want to discipline the exec, all I kept thinking was what dirt that exec might have on the CEO. The alarm bells were ringing for me. Did anyone else here have that thought? Quote
kcjenkins Posted August 28, 2013 Author Report Posted August 28, 2013 Absolutely, Judy. My first thought too. Quote
