ILLMAS Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 A client of mine received a notice that the amount reported to the SSA does not tie to 944, SSA records are showing the amounts were duplicated, has anyone else had this problem when using ATX to load the info into the SSA online? MAS Quote
Jack from Ohio Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 Have not so far. The Employment tax program is based on the 2011 program. We e-filed about 20 W-2s, and 150 1099s. This does not mean we will not have issues, just haven't seen any at this point. Quote
jklcpa Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 I haven't had any issues either. Is it possible that you submitted to the SSA twice for this EIN? After you submit, do you go back to SSA to verify the submission has been processed and complete? I do that to get printouts for my files. In that report, there is a more detailed report that can be requested, but it is still only the totals for that WFID with amounts shown as *submitted* and *processed*. If you don't handle many, maybe you should log on and click through the submissions to see if you somehow have 2 efiles for that one client. Quote
ILLMAS Posted August 10, 2013 Author Report Posted August 10, 2013 Update: Importing data from quick books into ATX triplicates data, in other words, the importing creates 3 W-2's per employee. I guess this was an oversight on my behalf and fortunately it was resolved. Quote
