Computer Scammers

You get a phone call from a US caller ID # with a foreign accent (typically Indian, or other asian) telling you that they are calling from Microsoft and that your computer is infected with a virus and it is causing a problem at Microsoft servers. For free they want to fix it for you and all you got to do is go to your browser and point to a particular website and they will take care of the rest!

Immediately hangup. If you go to that website they can remotely control your computer. Typically they are looking for banking info or plant a keylogger program or hijack your computer for a ransom.

These scammers will already have your name, and full address usually from public databases.
