Guest Taxed Posted June 15, 2013 Report Posted June 15, 2013 Happy Father's Day to all fathers. Beautiful weekend here in the North East for grilling! Quote
JohnH Posted June 16, 2013 Report Posted June 16, 2013 It was an extra special Fathers' day for me. I had the honor of baptizing my youngest grandson in this morning's service. 6 Quote

Jack from Ohio Posted June 17, 2013 Report Posted June 17, 2013 My Father's Day gift! All 4 (I count my son-in-law as one of mine) kids took me to lunch at Red Lobster. Me and my lovely wife in the back row. Kids, left to right: Daniel, Rebekah, Stephanie & Nathan. Nathan is the son-in law. Best Father's Day Ever!!! 2 Quote
Guest Taxed Posted June 17, 2013 Report Posted June 17, 2013 Very nice picture. The two boys look like they could be real brothers instead of brother-in-law. Quote

Guest Taxed Posted June 17, 2013 Report Posted June 17, 2013 >>>My husband is 5'9" and our two boys are 6'3" and 6'4".....go figure. (Junk food???????????)<<< According to news reports the average American is 1 inch taller than a decade back. You can tell that by comparing the size of high school kids today compared to what it was when we were in HS! Thanks to McDonalds and Burger King! Quote
mcb39 Posted June 17, 2013 Report Posted June 17, 2013 I was kidding about the junk food. We never had money for that. My boys grew up on homemade bread, jam, canned fruits and vegetables and home-cooked meals. They also played outside in the fresh air. But, so do all of those things apply to my husband to an even greater degree. His parents were much poorer than we were, but his Mom could whip up a great meal from seemingly nothing. Quote
Guest Taxed Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 I will take a nice rustic home cooked meal over any fast food any day of the week! Quote
Jack from Ohio Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 Daniel does not look like me or his mother. (my ex) However, he is the spitting image of my Dad. Pictures of my Dad at 16 and my son at 16, it is hard to tell them apart, other than the age of the picture paper. Quote
