Yeah, back in 2010 the agency was still being run by Bush-appointee Douglas Shulman, the same guy who oversaw that lame pretense at targeting conservative non-profits.

I sincerely hope that the saner members of Congress will focus more to making sure that IRS enforces the law as was originally written and was the original intent of 501©(4) organizations. Purpose Exclusively for social welfare period!

No more dancing around with "primary and secondary" roles etc. to get around the law in light of the Citizens United decision.

The reason IRS was asking for donor lists and all sorts of activities list was to figure out what on earth these guys were really up to?

And this applies to BOTH Conservative and Liberal groups.

I hope the moderate voters see right through this and make their decision at next elections.
