Is there a way to e-file an 1120 without having the payment debited or EFTPS? I get a rejection because of the payment date, I tried making the payment 5 or 10 days in advance but still gets rejected, now I just want to e-file and have the client mail out the payment. What I am doing wrong?

Thanks

Just a thought: show the payment as already made, balance due zero. File the return & have client send the payment in. (can a corporation send in a payment? Doesn't it have to be EFTPS?)

According to Form 1120 instructions, all corporate tax payments must be made by EFTPS or by direct debit,

otherwise penalties may be applied. There are no details as to what the penalties might be.

I've used direct debit before and it worked fine.
