MoreTaxpayers e-file from Home in 2013

WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service today provided updated statistics showing continued growth in electronic filing of tax returns. So far in 2013, more than 43 million people have self-prepared and e-filed their tax returns from home, an increase of more than 4 percent compared to the prior year.

Although another thread in this forum concerns the "growing complexity" of the tax code, apparently more and more taxpayers seem to find the filing process to be rather simple.

I believe at some point in time IRS will release the stats by zipcode of returns filed and that is more telling because it shows how many were filed by tax preparers and how many were self prepared and filed and the average income deductions etc.
