Guest Taxed Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 What's with the new regulations requiring EIN holders to furnish all new information to the IRS? What info are they looking for? I put my EIN on my Sch C, is that not enough? Quote
Lee B Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 Yeah, I skimmed that announcement. The gist of it seemed to be that anyone who had a IRS isued EIN was obligated to keep the IRS informed of any changes. Quote
Guest Taxed Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 I am just curious what more do they want? From the Sch C they know what my gross and net profits are. Sch C is linked to 1040 so they know my spouse, my dependent kids, my address etc. etc. May be they want all those demographic questions answered for stats? Perhaps they should focus on EINs that have had no filings in previous 3 years. Quote
jainen Posted May 10, 2013 Report Posted May 10, 2013 >>What info are they looking for?<< The problem is that an accountant or secretary might file the EIN application for an entity. IRS wants to know who the real owner is. Quote
