kcjenkins Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 Experts believe an update to anti-malware software MalwareBytes is responsible for taking thousands of computers offline. Until it's fixed, use other security software to stay safe online. Quote
Gileam Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 Honestly, IMHO, MalwareBytes is way too slow for commercial or personal use. I do IT support in my part time. One of my customer's had this on their computer and it was like "Scan computer" Estimated Time Remaining "200 hours" it was a brand new PC and nothing was on it except for Malwarebites. So i went to PCtools.com. Installed Spyware Doctor with Antivirus. They renew it every year. It works perfectly out of the box and the customer support has been outstanding. Anytime someone asks me for a recommendation for a good free security software. My reply is simple "You get what you pay for." Quote
