Christian Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 In a normal year ATX sends out a preseason special on their software. I note that some of you have gotten phone calls from your salesperson at ATX. I have not seen or heard a peep and am wondering what they will be doing. My program never got back to the performance of the earlier versions. Even now i cannot export my files to a cd for offsite storage. As soon as I can reach tech support in under thirty minutes I'll attempt to get that resolved. Would appreciate any input. Quote

taxtrio Posted April 17, 2013 Report Posted April 17, 2013 More information please: How do I "Copy the ATX database client files "? Quote
Christian Posted April 17, 2013 Author Report Posted April 17, 2013 I'll give it a try. I assume it will export marked files to the desktop file. It was working great until 12.12. Quote
Gileam Posted April 17, 2013 Report Posted April 17, 2013 To back up your ATX. It is rather quite simple. For Prior to 2012. Go to your program files folder or your network drive. Find the ATX20?? Folder the ?? is for the year. Then Save the entire backup folder. Copy it to a flash drive or magnetic media. In order to restore the data. Install ATX for that year. Replace the original Backup folder with the one that you saved. Go to Start>Programs>ATX>Backup/Restore and choose the restore tab. Click Select All. Then click restore For 2012 If you are on a stand alone installation For Windows XP Go to the following C:Documents and SettingsApplication DataCCH Small Firm ServicesBackup and save the backup Folder. For Windows 7 Go to the following C:Program DataCCH Small Firm ServicesBackup For networks. Check the same locations on the server computer. If you are unable to find it. Open ATX Click Return Menu under Return Manager Click Backup Look at the destination directory. That will point you to where the CCH Small Firm Services Folder is. ATX 2012 uses a Dual Directory Structure. Program in one Directory/Saved Files in another Quote
