ed_accountant Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 Taxworks announced today that is not producing tax software next year and referring it's client base to Reuters Ultra Tax.. I am dissappointed since I have used for few years.. Quote
ari Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 Wow..that's big news....oligopoly in the tax software industry Quote
Guest Taxed Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 Wonder if Ultra Tax will purchase their old software and sell it as its own or just buy whatever customers are left and convert them. Very interesting! Is there an official announcement and letter to its users?? Quote
ed_accountant Posted April 16, 2013 Author Report Posted April 16, 2013 Yes, Overnighted packages to the users.. Quote
joanmcq Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 Ultra tax is a hell of a lot more expensive than Tax Works.... Quote
ari Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 what's ultratax like 9k or so, mucho...i don't know how much taxworks costs Quote
Guest Taxed Posted April 17, 2013 Report Posted April 17, 2013 You could get Taxworks without the Arkworks for around $1250. I never used the arkwork program as I have my own paperless system. If Ultratax is like 9K, forget about it! These guys are going to drake next year. Quote
