Jack from Ohio Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 Subject: Hearing Good Results On ATX 12.13 Update. Since its release on 04/04/13, our feedback has been very positive with regard to the recent 12.13 ATX Program update. Functionality and speed have both been improved based on what we are hearing. If you haven’t done so recently, please take a moment to verify the program version you’re running. To find out what update version you are running, please do the following: -Inside your 2012 ATX program, click “Support” on the top toolbar. -Click “About”. -The version should be listed on the appearing information box. -If you are running a version less than 12.13, then you need to update your program, via the www.myatx.com support site. If you need help from me, in doing this, please reply back or call me directly. I will be happy to help you. Thank you, Brandon G. Jack from Ohio Posted April 11, 2013 Author Report Posted April 11, 2013 My reply: Hello Brandon, You have a lot of nerve, or you are in fear of your job for sending out such an e-mail. Nice Try!! 12.13 created a HUGE problem with e-file acks that did not exist before. Program still crashes without reason or warning. The individual data file on each workstation must be deleted each morning so that the program picks up all returns, and returns rolled over from other workstations. I am an experienced computer technician and tax accountant. I have had “technical support” logged into my system 5 times this year. I have spent 15 hours talking to them. Problems still exist. The program is TOTALLY unfriendly to WIN XP in a domain server environment. It is TOTALLY unfriendly to a domain server environment. You have a lot of nerve, or you are in fear of your job for sending out such an e-mail. Please spread your male bovine scat about ATX2012 to some low information people who do not know the real truth. Be assured, I will not be calling your tech support next tax season. ATX2012 has cost the firm I work at thousands of dollars this year, and the negative effects of not being able to take care of our clients in a timely manner will hurt us for at least the next 2 years. We would demand a refund, but as I understand the “contract”, we would deduct $20 per return filed. Well, we passed 100 clients by the middle of February. If you are TRULY an account management specialist, you will get CCH to compensate us in some manner. (not holding my breath) I work for a firm that has used ATX since 2002. In the last 5 years, I have called tech support only once each year. I learned the program from the inside and handled 99.99% of problems on my own. We have 3,000 clients, and the damage to our business has not been measured yet. I also use ATX at my home business since 2004. NICE TRY!! Feel free to pass this to whomever will listen. If things go the same as the last 10 weeks, there will be no one that listens, nor anyone who cares. I will be forwarding this to the account representative for the firm as well. barosser Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 I really like how they send an email stating that Version 12.13 is now availabel for download a week to 10 days after it was released. I guess it gives them time to see if it works for those of us looking for a desperate fix. Sure have been a lot of foms updates that last 2-3 days Quote
