Mike D Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 I received an email this morning regarding my early renewal of Taxwise through Mainstreet Software. The total was approx. $700 or double what I paid for 2012. I for one am not a fan of Taxwise. It is extremely user unfriendly, has very few bells and whistles and the e filing leaves alot to be desired. I will be seeking out new software, focusing on TaxWorks. I will keep all posted on my progress. Almost finished for the season with few extensions. Best to all for the end of 2012 tax season. Mike Dubin CPA Quote
Guest Taxed Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 I got my renewal letter from CCH signed by Mr. Marx and he wants over $2000 for Taxwise for 2013. Fat chance!!!! Quote
CathysTaxes Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 I won't be renewing for awhile. I received my copy of Taxwise from Ultimate Tax Software. They have two other tax software applications that I will probably want to demo first. Taxwise works, but it's cumbersome. Quote
Guest Taxed Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 If you are going to any of the IRS forums this summer you will get a chance to ask the various vendors point blank and get a contact info to get a working software to test before you buy. No more prior year BS! Quote
