Deceased taxpayer rec'd two 1099-C's before death and one 1099-C after. He has two W-2's and his surviving spouse also has a W-2.

Any ideas? Is there different treatment for before and after death?

If I was doing the return any income received after death I would include in the 1041 and then have the k1 pass the income and expenses.

Thanks. I have more questions for the client. Will fill out the insolvency worksheet and see how things shake out. Should put this all in perspective. Not the kind of last minute work I want to get into right now.
