joanmcq Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 Just got a reject on the extension for a new S-corp; does not match entity type on file with IRS. They have not yet filed the 2553; we are going to file with the return. So do I file the extension as a C-corp? Try again? too late to mail.... Quote
joanmcq Posted March 16, 2013 Author Report Posted March 16, 2013 Never mind, found the answer. And had to create a duplicate return to file the extension as a C. I need a nap. And a night off. Quote
Guest Taxed Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 I forget how many days you get to resubmit a rejected extension and still consider it timely filed. I just submitted 3 7004 and I have a feeling 1 of them will be rejected because i have 0 for figures (the clients are for some unknown reason not responding to my calls)!!! Quote
rfassett Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 I e-filed 47 - with all of them set to "0" - and all but two were accepted. The two were the entitiy issue and it was early enough that I just printed and mailed them. I mailed another six where the return is completed but I could not get the e-file for the return to create. I tried creating the 7004 e-file for one of them and it failed too. So I just did the six by hand and mailed them. Joan, please refrain from using the word "nap". Thank you! Quote
joanmcq Posted March 16, 2013 Author Report Posted March 16, 2013 I was getting into severe stress mode. Not enough sleep, too many things that had to get done. After I got that damn extension accepted, I did (insert 'N' word here) and then said screw it and took the evening off. Need to recharge. Quote
