Form 8863 Delay In Refunds

Two of my best clients have not received a Fed refund yet. Both had 8863 forms and IRS site says processing, no other explanation or error. They have NOT received the IRS 12C letter.

Any of your clients in the same situation. No IRS 12C letter and no refund yet? What should the taxpayer do? Tried calling the wait was over 30 minutes to talk to a live body.

Have them write their Congressman and Senator expressing their disapproval of how things in the Governmant and the IRS are being handled.

Both will have the same effect on how quick their refund gets processed.

Also tell them that there is NOTHING YOU CAN DO and to stop calling you. I have made that statement dozens of times already this year.
