jasdlm Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 Does anyone know how to password protect the .pdf that ATX will create? I want to email a .pdf to a client, but I can't figure out how to password protect it. There is an option to password protect the return, but I assume that is within ATX. I am a single-preparer office, and I would rather not password protect the return within ATX. I'm not sure whether that would take care of the .pdf anyway. Thanks so much. Quote
Jerry W Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 You should be able to go to the Pdf document, right click, then click on Pdf security and follow the prompts. Quote
MsTabbyKats Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 On my pdfs...I go to....Advanced....the Security....then Password protect Quote
kcjenkins Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 It is going to depend on what PDF program you use, Many do allow it, but not all. Check the user manual or help key Quote
Randall Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 If you have Acrobat, you should be able to convert the pdf to Acrobat. I use pdfprofactory and I have the acrobat icon in upper left. I just click it and I have the document in acrobat, which has a lot more functions available. Quote
