held states and changing status

if a state is held and needs modifying after the federal is accepted, is there a way to take that state return off hold without changing the global prefrences and re creating the state efile.?

Did you try just opening the return and then making the change and then creating the state efile?

When I do that after the fed is already accepted the state still comes up held. (Unless I go into preferences and change global setting)

PS This keeps happening to me because some (not all) of the CA returns get rejected because signature date is over 2 days old.

you can just go to the efile tab and do highlight return on manager and then hit release held return. It will just change that one return. no need to go to global preference

Yeah I've got the CA issue too. Hate it! Who the heck decided an efile had to be sent within 2 days after it was created? Don't they know we sometimes get these things back by mail?
