joanmcq Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 Hi all, Nonresident didn't get a 1099-G from Indiana. It's probably a state that makes you go online for the form; I can't find the link, download, or maybe they just didn't get one. Anyone know the EIN? Quote

joanmcq Posted March 6, 2013 Author Report Posted March 6, 2013 Bless you! One more red error is gone. Quote
Jack from Ohio Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 If the 1099G is only for state refunds, delete the 1099G, jump into line 10 of the 1040, enter the amount of the refund there. May have to delete twice. Quote
HV Ken Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 We should start a topic that collects the various state EINs. I needed the one for CT awhile back. It is not clear to me why these numbers are so sensitive. It is also not clear to me why they need to be entered on the 1099-G input screen, either. Seems like an unnecessary error check by the program. Quote

I like having the rollover take care of that information without having the delete things here and add things there. Quote
joanmcq Posted March 6, 2013 Author Report Posted March 6, 2013 Me too. And so many states require you to go online now- our elderly clients won't, and since CA still sends them out, my client wouldn't know to go online in PA and to look for a 1099. Having the website links would be sweet too. Quote
