HV Ken Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 It seems things are beginning to approach some level of stability (some is the operative word). This has certainly helped to reduce the high stress level from February! I am finding the new Print Manager to be a substantial improvement over the past. I know some are really struggling with it, but I really like it. My printing is much faster this year than in the past due to the usability improvements. Quote
BulldogTom Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 HV Ken, I have not had a chance to work in the print manager a lot because things are so "iffy" with the software. Could you elaborate on some of the things you like? I will start - I like the custom watermark feature. When amending, I usually include "As Originally Filed" and "As Amended" on my 1040 copies and I highlight them. Takes time. Now, I click on the watermark and it prints across the page for me. NIce time saver. Tom Hollister, CA Quote
txsoftware1 Posted March 2, 2013 Report Posted March 2, 2013 print manager is faster because it prints what it wants to, no matter how you set... Quote

NIce time saver. Tom Hollister, CA I have always wanted an "uncheck" feature - now it exists! Click once in "Check all" box and then a second time. It seems to be much smarter at pre-selecting what to print. I find it easier to choose what to print. I think the time I spend in the print manager this year compared to previous years is reduced by a factor of 3-4 times. That's a huge win - I always felt the print manager was the least useful part of the old ATX. Quote
schirallicpa Posted March 3, 2013 Report Posted March 3, 2013 I don't know what it is about the print function, but if I am going to bomb, it is when I click on print. Always save before hitting print! And BACK UP every night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not just on ATX's default. Back up on a separate disk or thumb drive. Quote
kcjenkins Posted March 5, 2013 Report Posted March 5, 2013 Good advice every year, every time, always. Can never have too many backups. Quote
