TAXMAN Posted February 27, 2013 Report Posted February 27, 2013 With all the problems this year I find I need a good E&O insurance. one that also covers prior acts. What are you guys using and their rates please? Quote
michaelmars Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 aicpa policy 2 mil of coverage cost $1000 per year with a higher deductible and i don't do certified audits. Quote
Lion EA Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 I use the group policy via NAEA, Calsurance, I think. It's less expensive that the company I started with. I think it covers back three years. $373. Quote
michaelmars Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 its not really a good question because what you do changes the rate so drastically. do you prepare fin statements? do audits? accounting? offer investment advise? Just do taxes? there are so many variables. Quote
TAXMAN Posted February 28, 2013 Author Report Posted February 28, 2013 I mainly do 99.9% tax work only. Got out of the other stuff 10 years+ ago. 3 corps(tax returns only) rest of my work is 1040 work. Thanks Quote
kcjenkins Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 Check with any professional groups you belong to, some of them have packages that may offer a better price to members than you can buy on your own. Shop for the best deal FOR YOUR PRACTICE, it does vary based on both your type of business and your professional qualifications. Quote
