DO NOT uninstall and reinstall if you have a true server network!

I have spent 10 hours following the prescribed procedure and it has created problems. 125 returns not recovered into the newly installed program, after 3 hours of synchronizing e-file status, 80 percent of them have no status.

DO NOT REMOVE AND REINSTALL

Jack,

What do you consider a True Server Network? I presume a stand alone sever that no one is using, but just want to be sure.

Small office here so I use my machine as the Server and have just 2 workstations connected to it. DO you perceive the same issues with that, because I had bee considering this option once I finish the 3 more returns in ATX that I didn't intend to move to Drake.

I know exactly what the 10 people at your firm are dealing with. I lost 60 with 12.8 and 18 had not been transmitted. I'm the only one here. It sucks. I didn't remove and install, I just downloaded an update. Still sucks regardless of the cause. Just wanted to whine a little. You have my sympathy.

A true server is a computer with server software installed. Ususally entails a domain and the workstations all log on to the server when booted.

The other option is just a peer-to-peer network.
